About

Calvin’s Paws is a 501(c)(3) rescue. We work through a network of foster homes throughout the Triangle area to save homeless cats and dogs.

About Us

Calvin’s Paws is much more than an animal rescue group. We are an organization that believes the life of every animal is precious and holds tremendous value. Fueled by our passion to extol this value of life, we are committed to ending the legalized killing of cats who simply have no home or loving humans to care for them.

Our Mission Statement

Through rescue and education, Calvin’s Paws promotes the adoption of cats, including seniors, disabled and those with special needs while providing leadership to facilitate No Kill communities.

Our Vision and Purpose

Saving the few, the chosen, the most fortunate or adoptable is NOT a solution that reflects a value on life. Calvin’s Paws is dedicated to providing leadership that creates a voice for every animal in our community who deserves the opportunity to find a loving caring home. We are committed to finding temporary care and medical provision for these homeless animals, raising community awareness for the love these animals were born to share, educating the community on Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) and the Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) and promoting the benefits of No Kill philosophies while also advocating for Trap, Neuter and Release (TNR) of feral cats.

Equally important is our commitment to change the present day philosophy that allows healthy adoptable cats to be euthanized by Heart Stick or in Gas Chambers simply because their time has run out at the local shelter and room must be made for new animals coming in. The cries of these animals as they’re being pulled from their cages are seldom heard beyond the walls of those shelters but our mission is to change that and broadcast their cries throughout the community, touching every ear and heart until we become a No Kill community.
